April 2022 News Letter

Trails grow barer and muddier by the day; groomers are away, and Spring has sprung!

It was a great season here at Linneus Sno Sports. We worked hard on our trails to keep them maintained, our kitchen stayed busy on the weekends, the annual Poker Run was a success, and we had no major breakdowns or accidents, which is always something to be thankful for. Memberships overall for families and businesses were up this year. Our new website has allowed us to keep riders in the know on current trail conditions and events. Looking ahead to next season we have plans and ways we can improve to keep our club moving in a positive direction and keep people coming back and riding our trails!

On Saturday, April 9th we held our annual membership meeting. We recapped the seasons events, enjoyed some group discussion, and voted for our officer and board of directors’ seats. In the officers’ positions, Blake McQuade, former Vice-president, was voted in as President. Ben Adams, former chairman of the board, was voted in as Vice President. Current Treasurer Shasta Shields ran unopposed for her position and was voted back in, as well as me, Nelle Murchie as Secretary. We had three open board of directors’ seats which were filled by two former board members, Ricky Tidd, and Jon Sanders, and new to the board was dedicated volunteer for the club, Leonard Wilde.

We’re thankful for former President Greg Smith who has volunteered to continue helping with our Wednesday night Bingo. Crowds have averaged 60-70 people per night who come to enjoy a homecooked meal from our kitchen and stay for the thrill of the game. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the payout so grab your pals and head on out to the clubhouse to join the fun.

Thank you to everyone who supported our clubhouse and rode our trails this season, we hope to see you all back next Winter!

Nelle Murchie,

Linneus Sno Sports Secretary
